GIØNX, a lebanese Pop/RnB/Hip Hop band is what’s sizzling in the music scene lately!
A concept and side project by no other than the band’s drummer, Gio Najarian, a musician who shared stages with music’s finest artists and talents in the region. The idea of the album “Where Butterflies Rest” started a year ago, when Gio got together with long-time friend and talented piano player, Charbel Nacouz. With a flood of ideas from the drummer about the songs and main melody lines, and the talent and expertise of Charbel, the two were able to develop the project in a more harmonious pattern and create 7 different tunes.
-except for one melodious track “Interbellum” which was created in the studio on spot-
All the magic happened at Audio Addicts Studios, and by magic we mean the recordings, the mixing, the artists, the early morning and late night sessions .. and the amazing talent of the mixing engineer and co-producer of the album, Jean Madani.
In addition to Audio Addicts, one of the beautiful “calmer” tracks on the album was recorded at JMR Studios on acoustic piano.
Last but not least, “Where Butterflies Rest” was mastered by the impeccable Khalil Chahine, at Musigma Studios, Germany.
